With a heavy heart, today actually marks the beginning of Jackson's second round of DOC band treatment (although the new band doesn't arrive for 10 more days). Before we start with round 2 though, how did round 1 go?
First, the improvement in Jackson's skull shape is quite noticeable. Here is an animation of the before and after from above.
The numbers tell a similar story with every metric tracked showing significant improvement. As for Jackson, he didn't seem to mind the helmet at all whether asleep or awake. We expect round 2 to be tougher though as warm weather will make his helmet a sweaty, stinky mess!
So why a second round? Even with the significant improvement, Jackson's measurements are exactly on the boundary for recommending treatment.
